To create a new landing/ search page and an information page. We were challenged to provide an MVP design for the landing page and a MVP and Northstar designer for the information page.
The landing page started as just a search function and we wanted to utilize the space in order to elevate the page presence. We honed in on the search function while realized the trouble spelling a lot of drugs names I determined we need to explore and alpha selector to assist the consumer. They had a key interest in having users create an account so we brought that into the design. With the rest of the space we really wanted to bring in more of the CVS ethos to give the consumer a well rounded experience.
Next we had to look the drug information page which was predominately all text. How do we lighted the visual severity of this black and white contrast and make more consumable for the user. Our answer was bringing in more visual softness through images and colors breading up the paragraph after paragraph. Then pushing the boundaries for CVS with video education of the drugs.

User Journey
Creating a user journey map to better understand how the site works and how it needs to work was the first exploration I pursued.
After identifying how it worked we created all their needs and wants and mapped out where would be best suited for that feature.

Once we’ve aligned through mapping we start creating the layout. The pages are a two page function, first we have the landing page (which drug are they looking information for?), then we have the information page ( all the content about the specific drug they have entered). The original site had just the basic function of a search component. We realized that was a lot of missed opportunity so we planned strategically on how to bring content forward to excite and inform the user not only about what they are looking for but other key resources that CVS has available.

Conclusion
Throughout this project it was really about harmonizing information with usability. This page is very heavy with details and text not easily consumable and that was the challenge from the start. In the Northstar we try to bring video in to help the user digest some of this information, due to limitation in time and technical they aren’t able to make this feature a part of there design but want to sort it out for future deliver. We also brought a well rounded color pallet to give a little life to the black and white of a text heavy page. Settle things like this will bring more use out of the page then just copy.
